Dreams of Grey

Dreams of Grey

Words catch and stifle,
I drown in their subtleties
No longer hearing any meaning
Just screams of nonsense and chaos
And the record plays on as we dance
To emotions of broken glass on the floor
Shinning in the darkness like hungry teeth
We walk barefoot through their shards
Never stopping to dress the hurt
While the silent pendulum swings
And we all still dream in grey

  1. Your style and tone are familiar. Many of my poems are dark and brooding.

This Wednesday I’m going to post a poetry prompt, and I want my followers to participate. It’s dark and supernatural themed, there is this super moon and lunar eclipse thing happening….

    Please participate. It’ll be fun!

I look forward to reading more of your work!
